Sam Stanford ended the game Friday night 6 of 8 for 116 yards and a touchdown. Pretty good numbers for a guy who was only in his second varsity start. Sam also scrambled for what would have been the go ahead two point conversion late in the second half, after directing a 17 play 85 yard drive, which was negated by what the official thought was a block in the back. A disappointing first half performance was followed by a handful of solid second half performances. Stanford's efforts were aided by great catches by Shamar Campbell, Hunter Rice, and Quentin Woods. There is tremendous room for improvement by everyone on the field, but for his effort, Sam Stanford is this week's Player of the Week. Keep working to get better.
